Baby room decorating ideas are common requests by our clients in the past months. Reason to dedicate this blogpost to all the moms and dads and see what the possibilities are regarding a baby room. Get inspired by pastel color tones, sweet prints and ultra soft surfaces.
Soft & Sweet
First of all, everything is possible as long as you decorate this room with love, that’s all the baby needs ;). Second, it’s better to go for soft and light color shades, it gives the baby a quiet and comfortable surrounding. It’s too early to start with contrasting colors and exciting objects..

Next tip is to choose the right curtains. Think like a baby, the only thing you want is eating and sleeping, also during the day! Don’t forget the curtains have to resist the daylight, so go for a double lining.
Fun with Flamingos
One of the most playful and whimsical wallpapers among our brands is Cole & Son. They make fun prints, especially for kids and babies. From stars to butterflies and flamingos, which is also a very popular one. Try to combine these wallpapers together with soft velvets, linen or cotton.
From Paris with love
A Parisian flat in the 17th Arrondissement flat that used to be a dining room. The room above is designed by French designer Vanessa Seward for her daughter. Very subtle colors and great details for a kid’s room. Seward’s husband, who is color blind, painted the walls a blush pink and soft purple, unaware that his future child would be a girl..
For printed wallpapers with fairytale designs like Winnie de Pooh, let yourself be inspired by Jane Churchill wallpapers. But if you like the sweet but more contemporary designs, go for Cole & Son. Please don’t hesitate to ask us for advice and have fun decorating!
