Ethnic Chic behind-the-scenes: re-building by helicopter

Ethnic Chic; a terraced garden

Ever seen trees transported for a garden by helicopter? At one of our reconstruction projects in Italy we’re at the stage that the terraced garden needs to be re-build with olive- and palmtrees, check it out!

A Terraced Garden

Last week we’ve been visiting Lake Como, where olive groves were scheduled to be planted in the terraced garden, by helicopter! All of this happened on a bright sunny day, check the pictures below!

New Olive Trees

This hillside garden is prepared with four terrace layers that have pipes under the ground to arrange the water supply. The layers are finished with the Italian ‘Basolato’ stone in the terraced stone wall. After planting the small plants like lavender, it was time to plant the big olive trees, by helicopter!

The holes were already been prepared when the olive grooves flew in. At ‘Lago di Como’ this is the quickest and easiest way to re-build a garden up hill. If you would like to know more about this, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
