Fendi Casa has like every year at Design Miami, a new room to inspire visitors and surprise them with unexpected designs. The Design Miami fair runs from November 30 until December 4, and this year Fendi launches The Happy Room, a new design by Cristina Celestino. Including beautiful velvet fabrics by Rubelli, marble, brass and lacquered wood finishes.

Tradition & Innovation

The Italian company from Rome is always looking for the right balance between tradition and innovation, in which they know how to succeed! The next pictures are an impression of the “travelling VIP room”, created by the Italian designer Cristina Celestino.

Material “ether”

Look at the subtle colours, from pink rose and yellow to mint and pale grey, it’s a cocoon of velvets and marble. Innovation is to discover in a new material: resin and fur combined. Fendi named it Etere or “ether”.

About Cristina Celestino

Cristina is 36 and she’s one of the new, upcoming talents in design world. Since her participation at the Salone Satellite in 2012 (Milan Design Week supports young talent), she’s unstoppable. As she studied for architect in Venice, she has found herself more drawn to what she calls micro-architecture: furniture and products at a human scale. Her passion for materials, from glass and satin-finished brass to textiles and leather is all to be found in the Happy Room. “It’s really about using colours, forms and finishes to create atmosphere,” says Celestino. “To make a place where people can simply feel calm and happy.”
