May just started! Summer are you there? To all the people who need some pre-inspiration…We’ve created a soft summer color palette of our beautiful designer fabrics. refreshing greens, clear light blues, shadow greys and lemon yellows :). A mix of bright designs and soft velvets, for the more classic, contemporary interior designs…
We saw these nice summer pic’s coming by on Pinterest that fits very well with our soft summer colors; an unusual green texture of an active geothermal area in New Zealand and a lemon, honey thyme sorbet, hmm!
If you’re living in the Netherlands, or have a similar climate as we do, you’ll have your interior more adjusted to cold and dark days instead of the sunny ones…But in summer we all would like to have a more bright and light interior, without redecorating the whole house, aren’t we? So how do you get the summer outside, inside?
1. Choose the room with the largest windows, highest ceiling or garden doors. that catches the most sunlight and make this the lounge room for summer days (like the picture: top and bottom left).
2. Make sure you’ll have a large bouquet of fresh greens or flowers (like the picture: bottom right)
3. Take one large furniture object that’s ready for an upholstery make-over. Choose soft fabrics that are nice and cozy at winter days too, but select more soft summer colors which connect with the outside, like; light blues, greens or yellows (get your inspiration from the moodboard below!)
4. Serve cool drinks in stylish cocktail glasses!
Fabrics in moodboard: 1. Light blue velvets Pierre Frey (4x in white, blue and green), 2. Floral velvet Fadini Borghi, 3. Mustard silk Rubelli, 4. Geometric viscose Pierre Frey, 5. Grey silk dots Dominique Kieffer, 6. Dark green velvet Dedar, 7. Woods silk Donghia, 8. Dark green velvet Lorca
Clear blue water, cucumbers and mint…can’t wait for the hot sunny days, can you?! Hopefully this inspiration motivates you to make your home interior ready for summer, because everyone deserves a place that feels sunny ;).
