Manuel Canovas is one of our most popular and internationally well known brands, not undeserved. With their amazing colourful fabrics in daring patterns and beautiful quality, they stand out. It’s a while ago since we wrote about Manuel’s ikat fabrics, so time to share another collection.
New Stripe & Paisley
The paisley design, Elisa, can be seen in the curtains of the first picture, beautiful with an elegant herringbone ground. The second impression of the latest collection is an African inspired graphic stripe that has been finely embroidered on a linen ground: Nagar in colour Jade, easy to combine with other fabrics of this collection.
Tuscany green & broken velvet
The cotton printed fabric with glass bottles and wild carrot flowers from the French antique flea market, ‘Dame Jeanne’, are typical Manuel Canovas style designs. But also elegant plain fabrics, like the purple velvet below, are signature designs. This one has a structure of interesting broken lines, which we see back in the ocean blue one below.
Hazara & Marzac
The next fabric is a print of interesting nomadic scenes from the Gobi desert: horseback and yurts decorated with suzanis. A perfect combination with the ottoman plain chenille of irregular broken lines, love the colours!
This is just a small selection of the entire new collection. In Paris next week we will see all the new fabrics, can’t wait to feel and see them in real!
